The Della Willars Fire Station Project, located at 2420 Second Street, involves demolishing the existing building and constructing a new 10,000-square-foot fire station facility. This state-of-the-art station features four apparatus bays, a kitchen, dining and living areas, dormitories, offices, an exercise room, laundry rooms, and all necessary site and utilities work. Site improvements include a concrete-paved fire apparatus drive, parking for five cars, driveways, a fire lane, a service area, and the installation of water, fire line, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, electrical, and telecommunications services. This project enhances the functionality and efficiency of Fire Station #2, meeting the needs of the community and the fire department.
