Hidalgo Independent School District Campus-wide Renovations, CMAR, Hidalgo, TX:

Project included campus-wide renovations and additions of five schools for the Hidalgo Independent School District, including the construction of five new security vestibules at three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. At the middle school and high school renovations for a new 8,250 square feet and 10,000 square feet collaboration room/flex room were included in the plans and specifications. Construction trades for these areas included electrical, network cables, HVAC, flooring (wood and LVT), walls, ceilings, fire suppression modifications, lighting, painting, ADA ramps and handrails, and demolition. Renovations for the administration offices at the middle school and high school included similar trades with the addition of millwork and plumbing. At Kelly Elementary, the district requested to include the renovation and addition for the cafeteria. The purpose for the improvements to the cafeteria included additional seating capacity and a new stage for announcements and entertainment. The total area for renovation and additions was approximately 6,500 square feet. Trades included earthwork/excavation, concrete foundation, steel erection, welding and fabricating steel truss components, walls, ceilings, electrical, network/data cabling, fire suppression design/construction, fire main construction, flooring, millwork, access/security controls, doors, painting, and demolition.
